Hi, I’m Kristen. I’m 36 and from the Gulf Coast of Florida, the beautiful Emerald Coast. I am married to truly the man of my dreams and together we have 2 amazing daughters, Elah (12) and Sailor (9). We love the outdoors and every chance we get we are on the boat, at the beach, or in the mountains. Ever since I was a young girl I loved art. There were 3 key figures that fostered that in me growing up. My paternal grandmother was an amazing artist and she taught me so many things. My maternal grandmother loved design and had a great sense of style. Both encouraged me to see the beauty in what was around me and create for my self. My mother was my biggest cheerleader. Anytime I had the itch to paint my bedroom, bathroom, hallway, laundry room etc as a young girl, she was right behind me trusting whatever color I chose. She even let me paint a design on the concrete of my bathroom floor after I ripped the carpet up. I was constantly rearranging my bedroom furniture and figuring out creative things I could do to my own space. In middle school I knew I wanted to be an interior designer when I grew up. In high school I visited a couple colleges to check out their programs. One of them was SCAD, Savannah College of Art and Design. On my tour I discovered Industrial Design. I didn’t know of such a thing. I fell in love with the school and quickly turned my focus to pursuing that degree. I started out at another college, actually went to a few, before I found myself at SCAD studying industrial design. It was by far the hardest thing I’d studied thus far. While at SCAD I took a summer off and spent it in Italy, and right before I went back to Savannah for the fall, I met Stuart. He was a game changer for me. Long story short, we were married the next spring and I finished up my degree in Art from the University of West Florida.

My career path has taken many twists and turns from teaching then going back to school and becoming an RN, and my newest becoming a Realtor. Along the way I have found outlets to pursue my real passion, design, such as professional prop styling and home and furniture makeovers. I hope you will follow along with me as I pursue my passion even further and see what we can create!
